Great new surgery and really helpful staff and doctors
I HAVE BEEN WITH THIS SURGERY FOR 40years and am pleased with the new surgery, but I really want to applause a very special doctor, that is _ Dr Chandan a very special and caring doctor, who goes out of his way to make sure his patients get top treatment, I can't say how much this doctor help me to getting better, because he goes that extra mile to get you on the road to recovery.so for this I want to thank him, it's very rare to get a doctor who takes time and care with his patients. The surgery is clean and spacious , and there is 1 lovely receptionist who is jolly and cheerful all the time, but sadly I don't know her name. But overall the new build is great. !!
The new surgery is very clean and the staff are very friendly. The new online appointment system is an excellent as is the out of hours surgery opening times. Only negative is the phone in system for making an appointment.
I have been registered with the Surgery for the past four years. The surgery has now moved to a new purpose built facility which is shared with another surgery and the change has been transformational.
The new surgery has ample parking, it is very clean and reception staff is very friendly. I particularly like the fact that the surgery uses SMS based appointment reminder system.
I am also very pleased with my new GP, Dr Kiran Chandan, who has recently joined the surgery.
The only minor irritant is the PA system used by the surgery which needs a lot left to desire.
Overall, I am very pleased with the surgery and would definitely recommend it.
Thank you for your feedback. I'm glad you like our new building and that our staff have made you feel welcome. I fully agree that the automated voice on the PA system has a lot to be desired! The voice needs to be switched on for those patients with sight loss. However we have fed back our concerns regarding the pronunciation to the software company and so await their next developments.
Just one criticism. The automated voice that announces people's names for their appointment is absolutely useless and if it's supposed to help it doesn't. The pronunciation of names is laughable. My name is Purcell not Puzzle!!
I agree that the voice is not what we had hoped for. As per my next comment, we have fed this back to the software company. We can not switch it off entirely as, imperfect as it is, it does help those with sight loss know when they have been called by the doctor or nurse.
